Delt Papir – Our commitment to Sustainability and the Environment
Sustainable Innovation
Co2mpensating by planting
DELT Papir cares about the environment and the community, that is the main reason we joined the initiative implemented by the Croatian Scout Association and HEARTH thinking & doing agency in cooperation with Croatian Forests. This is a project of afforestation of burned and endangered sites called ‘Co2mpensating by planting’, and the special feature of the project is that the planting takes place in the territory of the Republic of Croatia. The goal of joining the project is to reduce its own carbon footprint, which slows down the impact of increasingly pronounced climate change. Plantations sponsored by DELT Papir is specially marked and GIS mapped.
Recovered & Recycled Raw Materials
Many of our paper products are made of cellulose, that would otherwise end up on landfill. The production of cellulose itself is eco-friendly, as it’s recovered without using damaging substances and processes. Paper is produced without cutting down trees, and the quality of unbleached cellulose is comparable to virgin wood fibres so there’s no loss of quality.
Any waste material from our production process is sent to a paper mill to be reprocessed into raw material which we buy back to make into more paper products
We are using new packaging –
bio-based and fully recyclable
I’m green Polyethylene biopolymer is made from renewable resources that make a significant contribution to reducing the level of greenhouse gas emissions. Green Polyethylene made from sugarcane is a renewable alternative to Polyethylene, a thermoplastic resin largely used for packaging in consumer products industries.
I’m green packaging foil is made from 60% Green Polyethylene and 40% recycled LDPE
Compact Paper Technology
We have developed technology to produce compact paper, which means that our rolls have more paper yet are smaller, so take up less transportation space.
Tubeless Rolls
Our Tubeless range paper hand towels and toilet tissue are manufactured using the best environmental practices. By removing the inner tube from all Tubeless paper roll products hundreds of tons of waste have been cut during the manufacturing process and there is no waste at the end of the roll. Tubeless gives 100% usable paper product and has more paper in each roll.
Paper is a truly renewable and sustainable resource.
Even so sustainability at Delt Papir means we are constantly reviewing our manufacturing processes and practices to make sure we minimise our environmental impact while carrying out our day to day business.

Our environment certificates give our customers and consumers both the certainty that our products are sourced sustainably and produced with fewer environmental impacts.
Ecolabel – the EU Ecolabel is a label of environmental excellence that is awarded to products meeting high environmental standards throughout their life-cycle: from raw material extraction, to production, distribution and disposal.
FSC® – Products carrying the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC – C115896) label are independently certified, giving assurance they are made from or contain wood that comes from FSC® certified forests.
ISO14001 – your guarantee that Delt Papir has implemented an environmental management system at our manufacturing sites and proves our commitment to prevent pollution across all aspects of our business activities, products and services.
